Our name “Kibo” refers to the highest peak on Mount Kilimanjaro, symbolising our desire to do better and achieve lofty outcomes. Alongside this, in Japanese, “Kibo” means “hope”, reflecting our optimism and commitment to making a positive difference.
These values are integral to our culture and guide our approach to principal investing. Our investment portfolio has a particular focus on private equity and early-stage investments, notably in climate technology, as well as in public markets and real estate. Additionally, we allocate funds to select opportunities globally that generate both financial returns and positive societal and environmental impact.
